Laser, as a new technology applied today have been widely used in metal cutting, welding, products marking, craftworks sculpture, punching of circuit board, semiconductor cutting, etc. As the service life of industrial laser prolonged, cost reduced, technology of laser will be adopted in more and more circles and become an important processing method. There is extensive prospect in soft packing bag industry. There are commonly two types of easy tearing opening for convenience. One is to punch an easy tearing opening on one side or both sides of packing bag, and users could open the packing bag from nick; the other type is to cut a tooth form on one side or both sides of packing bag by tooth form knife and users could open packing along the tooth form side. These two types are all made by machinery punching or cutting and they have two disadvantages: first the membrane and cutting tools need to be maintained and changed regularly; second, the direction of opening could not be controlled, many people would open a packing while destroying the whole packing bag and drop contents. A packing with zip requires higher of direction of easy tearing opening, once the direction is out of control, the zip will be destroyed and break the zip function. To cut easy tearing line by laser have been applied in Europe and American two years ago, which offers a new method for processing of easy tearing opening. This kind of method is to cut a line evenly about several micron deep along the opening direction by laser beam, this line breaks the outer packing of composite membrane and maintain the inner packing so that the packing function is reserved while the packing bag could be opened follow the easy tearing line. Since the processing method is so convenient that it have been adopted in Europe and America very soon.
